What Is African American Hotel Ownership & Investment Summit?
This is your opportunity to meet hotel owners & individuals seeking partners and/or investment opportunities; hotel companies interested in doing business with minorities and other experts to help you achieve your path to joining the hospitality industry.
The summit will be exciting and packed with information to help you understand the many opportunities available in hotel ownership, investment and supplier diversity. The 3-day educational summit is designed to educate attendees on becoming a hotel owner or investor, share minority investment trends, explore supplier opportunities, learn how to market to minorities and discuss diversity issues affecting the industry.

Can You Tell Me More About The African American Hotel Summit Agenda?
The summit opens Wednesday morning, July 27th with the NABHOOD/HBCU Scholarship Golf Tournament to raise money for scholarships for minority hospitality students and followed at noon with the Orientation Program for new & prospective hotel owners and Committee Meetings.
Later the Opening General Session takes place followed by the Welcome Reception in the evening. General Sessions & workshops are held on Thursday and Friday with Student workshops on Friday and Saturday.
The Awards Luncheon on Thursday will recognize individuals and companies who have demonstrated through their actions a commitment to diversity while providing opportunities to minorities.
NABHOOD Corporate Dinners take place Thursday evening to allow new & potential owners to spend time with their preferred hotel brand (eligible attendees must sign up in advance and are based on availability).
Several hotel companies will have Corporate Suites during the summit and we encourage attendees to visit them for additional information.
The Trade Show is on Friday in addition to our “Focus on the Caribbean” when Caribbean government officials and experts will speak about available investment opportunities and incentives.
Summit attendees include African American hoteliers, entrepreneurs, national leaders and hospitality representatives, city/state/country development representatives and financial experts.
Our Thursday Opening Session will feature a presentation on industry trends and “A View From The Top”.
Industry professionals will lead general sessions, workshops and seminars to spark discussion on African American hotel ownership, public/private partnerships, financing, franchising, investment opportunities, creating partnerships, employment & supplier opportunities.
