events scheduled for next year. Unless otherwise notated all events will carry a

BARBADOS JAZZ FESTIVAL - PAINT IT JAZZ
Place: Barbados
Date: January 12 - 18, 2009
Comments: There will be cool jazz on warm Caribbean shores when Barbados hosts the thirteenth annual Barbados Jazz Festival from January 12 - 18, 2009. The Barbados Jazz Festival, which celebrates the best in international and local jazz talent, has become a major annual Caribbean event.

BLACK SKI WEEKEND

Comments: The Black Ski Weekend (also know as MLK Ski Weekend) has grown into the largest super party winter event. They come by buses, planes, trains and automobiles to witness what thousands of others had the pleasure of experience. Four days long. Four days strong. AIR JAMAICA JAZZ AND BLUES FESTIVAL

NATIONAL BLACK SKI SUMMIT 2009
Place: Snowmass, Colorado

Comments: The largest black ski event in the world. It is the largest event for black ski enthusiast. Thousands of skiers from all over the world from over 75 different clubs make plans to witness and take part in world's largest black skit event. Dozens of celebrities, entertainers and parties makes this a unique way to meet others for one of the largest annual African American events in the country.

THE 2009 NFL PRO-BOWL
Place: Honululu, Hawaii
Date: February 6-9, 2009(Game Day February 8, 2009)
Comments: The best NFL players of the season gather for a traditional Pro Bowl game. Weekend full of warm weather, exciting events and plenty of get togethers. The best players from the AFC will face their counterparts from the NFC in the Pro Bowl. Honorees, presenters and performers have included many of the major celebrities in America as well as international political figures and dignitaries. There are 36 competitive categories in the fields of motion picture, television, music and literature. There are also several honorary awards including the Chairman’s Award, The President’s Award and The Image Awards Hall of Fame.
The NAACP Image Awards originally aired late night for eight years in the “Saturday Night Live” time slot on the NBC Network. Since 1996, the NAACP Image Awards have been shown in primetime on the FOX network where they have become a major programming event.
