The Kentucky Derby is more then just horseracing. Its a reunion, a get together, a party, a social event and one of the largest urban street festivals in the country.
What happens at the event?
Over the past 10 years, the Derby has grown in size and has mushroomed to over 100,000 participants.
They come from all over: Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, Mississipi, Illinois just to be apart of this annual event.
What type of activities happen during the Derby?
There are plenty of things to get into during the event. There are clubs,parties and concerts from some of the biggest names in music, movies and sports.

Well every year it's different. There are a couple of private promotors who book acts for the weekend. More information on performers will be available on Tuesday.
