INTERN FOR SUMMER 2014 | MUSIC PROGRAMMING - 106 & PARK | NEW YORK, NY
POSITION SUMMARY:
BET Networks is seeking two (2) qualified interns to join the Music Programming team. This role requires the entire business skill set - analytics, communications, problem solving, and strategic planning.
The intern will report to the Senior Producer of Production for BETN and will be based in New York, NY.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The interns will assist the 106 & Park creative team with several creative aspects of the show including but not limited to graphics, tape organization and research. S/he will work closely with Production Management for studio/ENG shoots along with supporting daily functions and tasks as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
The interns we seek must be an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in a related field. S/he must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours a week.
In addition to this experience, our ideal candidate will possess the following:
•Outstanding academic achievement and an aptitude for analytics.
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
•Excellent written presentation skills (MS PowerPoint).
Must be a power user of Microsoft Excel. •Proven ability to synthesize large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data.
•Ability to drive independent problem solving with minimal direction.
•Ability to summarize information and succinctly communicate analyses verbally and in writing.
•Ability to effectively present information in a compelling and/or persuasive manner.
•Ability to engage senior executives with a mature and credible disposition.
•A strong commitment to excellence and personal and professional growth.
