Comments: The party that started it all. The "vibe" for Freaknik will not have the impact like it once did. At one time, Freaknik swelled to over 250,000. Last year, the Galveston and Florida events took over. Don't expect alot of participants this year.
As always, you will notice a slight increase in special parties and club life but nothing significant enough to travel for unless you are a local resident

THE DEATH OF FREAKNIK IS FINAL, THOUSANDS MOURN
The Freaknik was pronounced deceased April 14th, 2000 at 12:01 A.M
REMEMBERING THE PAST
Say what you want. It was the ultimate party. The most talked about party event in history was put to rest this past weekend. It's ending was the result of many different occurances. (see this weeks newsletter for info) The freaknik was heard through out the world on TV shows, mainstream novels, music videos, movies and more.
Over 200,000 once came to Atlanta each April to witness the fun and the excitement. People from all over the world were part of the fun from the 80's to the late 90s. But after last weekend, no one showed up. The party was officially over .The Freaknik funeral was established and the casket was shut. R.I.P Freaknik..it was fun while it lasted.
